As a testament to my persistence on irrelevant projects, I just wrote a Macintosh installer for the “Storage System Console” program for the Intel SS4000-E. Now Macintosh usersĀ  can connect one of these things to a network and find it without the assistance of a computer running Windows 2000, XP, Vista.

Took freaking forever, mind you. I wrote it all in apple scripts hooked to bash scripts because I don’t know how to use Apple script properly. It still requires X11, which is lame, but at least it’s something. Right now, if a user of one of these things has a Mac, they can’t do anything at all. Now that’s different.
Why did I do this? I’m too sick to do much of anything so I might as well have done something productive. V gave me some kind of disease.
